Thanks for visiting the official web site of the Benefits Trust. We hope this site will offer Union-represented State employees more information about the Trust, its supporting Unions and the benefits available, including:
Legal service plan
Dental
Vision
Basic life
Supplemental life and
Working Solutions.
Right now the big news is concern about the State budget/what happens to your benefits if laid off. To help cope with the changes, Working Solutions is there to help the impacted members as they prepare for layoff, as well as those who continue to work in stressful and changing conditions.
You may want to check back throughout the year as we post announcements that will impact you and also offer direct links to some wellness sites and the insurance companies that serve
you.
This site also has customer service capabilities you can contact our
customer service rep via secure e-mail. She will assist you with Trust-related benefits information and
advocate on your behalf. Our automated phone system (IVR) gives you access to personal benefits information 24 hours a day, seven days a week. During previous open enrollments, we've been told that some members have had insurance representatives call on them at their homes and say that they are affiliated with the Benefits Trust or Prudential (regarding the Benefits Trust life insurance). We do not make house calls and encourage you to be vigilant regarding your safey and personal/financial information. If in doubt about the authenticity of a caller, whether in person or over the phone (or through emails), please contact us directly.
Please let us know how we're
doing on
the web, and in our
benefits for you.
IMPORTANT
NOTE We've made every effort to accurately summarize
your Trust-sponsored benefits. A complete description of each
benefit is available from the Trust in the official plan documents.
If discrepancies exist between the web page and official documents
or between other printed materials (e.g., the Trust plan booklets
or Trust Talk) posted herein and the official documents, the
official documents govern.
